Elementary School, Special Education Teacher
Step into a fulfilling educational role supporting elementary students in special education across two vibrant school communities. This full-time contract position is ideal for passionate educators ready to make an immediate difference, serving approximately 15-20 students in an inclusive and collaborative environment. Your week will be thoughtfully split between two elementary schools, with half of your schedule dedicated to each, maximizing your impact while building diverse connections.
The position is set to begin as soon as possible and will initially run through winter break, with the potential for extension if a permanent hire has not yet been made.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:- Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
- Ability to tailor instruction and classroom environments to meet a range of learning needs
- Collaborative mindset for partnering with general education staff, support providers, and families
- Flexibility and organizational skills to thrive across two bustling school sites
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, manage, and track student progress on IEP goals
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, staff, and administrators
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports student growth and self-confidence
- Adapt teaching strategies and classroom supports to ensure all students access the curriculum
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute to a cohesive support team
