Para educator Position
O'Neill Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants to fill a para educator position for the school year. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and be willing to gain highly qualified para status. Paraeducators will be assigned, supervised, and evaluated by respective building principals or by a person designated by the superintendent of schools, and their duties shall include but not be limited to the following:
- Supervising students
- Assisting teachers in preparing instructional materials and room preparations
- Tutoring and small group instruction as directed and supervised by a teacher
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information related to staff, students, and parents
- Maintaining a cordial and cooperative relationship with all personnel, students, patrons, and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
