Description
CAD Technicians are responsible for taking an engineering design concept and transforming it into a 3D CAD model and drawing for manufacturing. They also are responsible for the creation and design of tooling concepts for composite fabrication, development of CNC machine tooling, and assembly fixturing.
Essential Duties- Develop 3D modeled tooling and/or parts per request of Engineers using customer supplied CAD or supplied 2D drawings.
- Maintain customer supplied 2D drawings both digitally and on paper for company use.
- Maintain customer supplied 3D data digitally, converting data into a usable format, and validate when needed.
- Develop patterns, organize workloads, and perform maintenance for NC ply‑cutter and laser projection files.
- Perform tasks on schedule, and coordinate schedule with engineers and other necessary personnel.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. An individual must therefore be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
CompensationThe compensation package includes hourly base pay, and an array of benefits, including participation in Royal’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The target range for this role is $24-28/hour. Compensation for this role will be heavily dependent upon relevant experience, education and skills.
