Process Engineer
As our new Process Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the process equipment for our electrolysers. You will work to improve product performance and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrolyser systems. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with engineering in a small company where you can make an impact.
You will be based at our Gothenburg office.
- Generate process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), as well as perform mass and energy balance calculations and prepare equipment specifications
- Create, maintain and update process documentation, including cause-and-effect matrices, process description and operating manuals
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements and quality requirements
- Perform dimensioning and sizing of process systems, including piping, pressure safety valves (PSVs) and control valves
- Design and develop water and gas purification systems for electrolysers
- Support equipment selection such as instruments, valves and filters
- Participate in commissioning and validation activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
You have a Bachelor's degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or another relevant technical field together with 5+ years of relevant experience in a process engineering role. Your background includes:
- Experience with pressurized equipment
- Experience working with flammable gases
- Strong understanding of process optimization, quality tools, root-cause analysis and risk assessments (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP, HAZID, 5 Whys)
- Familiarity with pressure equipment codes/standards (e.g., PED, ASME, ATEX, IEC 61511, IEC 62061, ISO 12100)
- Experience working with technical documentation
- Fluent English is a must
