Job Title:

Technical & R&D Director

To support our growth, we are looking for a Technical & R&D Director to lead our technical strategy, product developments, and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Innovation

Reporting to the General Manager, you will define and oversee the technical and R&D strategy of the company.

You will:

  • Evaluate the feasibility of new research topics from the direction or sales department
  • Propose research and innovation directions (new products, new processes, technological improvements)
  • Define and manage the associated R&D programs
  • Supervise studies, calculations, and the design of technical solutions
  • Technically coordinate product development
  • Propose improvements to existing product lines
  • Support project teams on specific technical client requests
  • Conduct active technological and competitive surveillance

Team Management & Coordination

You will lead the technical teams and ensure the proper coordination of development activities.

You will:

  • Manage and lead the R&D/Testing team
  • Organize and manage development and validation activities
  • Ensure technical coordination between internal teams and external partners
  • Identify and select new technical partners, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Contribute to the skill development of technical teams

Technical Troubleshooting & Field Support

As a technical reference, you will assist clients in diagnosing and resolving complex issues with operational equipment.

You will:

  • Intervene on client sites to diagnose electropump malfunctions
  • Perform troubleshooting missions in France and internationally
  • Analyze failures and identify root causes
  • Define and manage long-term corrective actions
  • Serve as the technical interface with client teams during interventions
  • Write intervention reports and formalize feedback to improve products
Qualifications

Required Profile:

  • Generalist or specialized engineering degree in mechanics, electromechanical, energy, or industrial engineering
  • Significant experience in a technical, R&D, or engineering management role in industry
  • Solid knowledge in electropumps, rotating machines, hydraulics, or complex industrial equipment
  • Experience in managing tests and technical platforms
  • Ability to address field issues and manage complex technical situations
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Good technical and professional English proficiency
  • Availability for occasional travel in France and abroad

Experience Required:

  • 10 years of experience in a similar position
