AboutThe Role
KEE is seeking a qualified Fluid Power Designer to expand the Control Systems team in our Gretna, NE headquarters office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys tackling unique technical challenges, and brings a hands‑on, adaptable approach to engineering. Responsibilities- Fluid power system design, schematics, component selection, and bills of material
- Provide both technical and hands‑on support to internal and external stakeholders during production, shop testing, and site support (traveling may be required for shorter periods of time)
- Maintain close collaboration with design team during all phases of project lifecycle, ensuring proper controls integration into the mechanical design
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors and suppliers
- Assist design team with the preparation of operations manuals and other relevant technical documentation
- Associate’s degree in mechanical/systems engineering, or a demonstrated equivalent through formal training and experience
- 3+ years of experience in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of fluid power control systems including the preparation of fluid power schematics
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to occasionally visit customer sites
- Employment sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future company sponsorship.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience with Solid Works or similar 3D CAD software
- Experience with both mobile and industrial hydraulic systems
- Experience with radio‑remote control system programming
- Fluid Power Specialist, Fluid Power Engineer, or similar certifications
- Experience in the heavy civil or underground construction industry
- Minimum of 3 weeks paid time off, depending on experience
