AVL MTC Motortestcenter AB offers a job in Sweden (SE) as Software Verification & Validation Engineer (OBC). We are entering an expansive phase and have several exciting assignments and projects coming up within the area of Verification & Validation of Onboard Chargers (OBC). Therefore, we are now looking for someone who wants to help shape the future of electrified mobility.

As a Software Engineer in V&V for OBC, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad technical scope, be part of advanced development environments, and contribute to ensuring that our customers receive safe and high performance charging systems.

Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work broadly with verification and validation of Onboard Chargers (OBC) within various customer projects. You will be an important part of our technical deliveries and work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that our solutions meet the highest quality standards. The work covers the entire chain of test and validation activities – from requirement review and breakdown into test plans, to the execution of functional tests, system tests, and various environmental and climate validations.

You will work both in lab environments, climate chambers, and in the field, contributing to the development of test methods, test environments, and automated tests. A central part of the role is analyzing test results, identifying deviations and improvement opportunities, and compiling reports to present your recommendations to both technical teams and project organizations. You will collaborate cross functionally with several areas of expertise, often taking on a coordinating role in many of the assignments.

Your Profile:

At least 4 years of experience in software testing related to OBC Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as Engineering Physics, Vehicle Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent Experience in breaking down requirements into a test plan Good knowledge of measurement systems and sensors for software testing Programming skills in C/C++ or Python

Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, CANalyser, CANoe, or Flex Ray HIL experience with systems such as dSpace or ETAS Experience working with tools such as INCA, MDA, and MATLAB/Simulink Knowledge of standards such as ISO
15118, ISO
61851, ISO
18246 Category B driving licence Communicates fluently in Swedish and English

Experience in coordinating roles or cross functional work Background in electrification or E-mobility
