Ashland, NE. Hiring Rate: $16.755 per hour.

Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is currently seeking a welcoming and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist. In this role you will work in the park’s Group Function Department to help plan and coordinate special events in the park, and collaborate with families and companies to set up weddings, reunions, business meetings, and other types of events they wish to host.

• Assist in coordinating and booking group conferences, business meetings, family reunions, catered events, etc. for the park and help plan and implement special park events.
• Determine specific needs for reserved events (food service, lodging, room arrangements, equipment needs, special requests, etc.) and relay those needs to appropriate park department staff.
• Assist with development and implementation of advertising, marketing, and promotion of park facilities to qualifying organizations and the public.
• Assist group coordinators with any last‑minute needs that may arise.
• Maintain records on advanced deposits for group reservations and enter related data into the computer system.
• Prepare and send invoices for event billing.
• Draft and prepare correspondence to group conference contacts and park staff to coordinate activities.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Minimum of three months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training.
