Assistant Vice President, Investment; Alpha Team

Responsibilities

• Sector ownership and idea generation:
  Maintain deep, current knowledge of the Industrial sector Generate differentiated investment insights through primary research, management engagement and industry networks.
• Active stock recommendations and portfolio impact:
  Own active buy/sell ratings, with clear articulation of thesis, risks, valuation and expected return.
• High quality research communication:
  Produce clear, concise research that frames incremental insight versus consensus and supports investment decision-making. Communicate views effectively with PMs and peers through written work and debate.
• Collaboration and broader firm contribution:
  Work with the team to challenge assumptions, improve idea quality and share knowledge across the firm.

Periodic travel is required. The team is based in Singapore, with a focus on global developed markets.

The individual is expected to be a strong culture carrier and to support firmwide initiatives that enhance performance, collaboration, and talent development.

• 3 - 6 years of experience in direct equity research, preferably covering Industrials
• Proven track record of independent thinking, and generation of proprietary, value‑added, investment recommendations
• Ability to maintain active coverage of multiple stocks which includes maintenance research and new idea generation.
• Strong fundamental analysis skills and sound understanding of valuation techniques
• Clear, articulate communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to engage constructively.

• Progressive buy‑side experience, at either a long‑only or hedge fund preferred
