Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa is seeking a Director of Finance who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and is passionate about using financial strategy to influence business outcomes. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is central to guiding strategic decision‑making, financial planning, and operational excellence to support the hotel’s performance and long‑term success.

Director of Finance

The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment. You will lead financial planning, reporting, internal controls, and business partnership efforts that drive performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements; analyze variances and partner with department leaders to identify improvements.
  • Lead on‑site and off‑site accounting functions, ensuring timely reporting, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cash management.
  • Develop and implement the hotel’s annual business plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee year‑end processes, reconciliations, audit preparation, and external auditor coordination.
Internal Controls & Risk
  • Ensure compliance with HMA terms and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and segregation of duties.
  • Manage SOX compliance and monitor industry, legislative, and organizational trends to inform decisions.
Operational Leadership
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering growth and performance.
  • Support leadership development across all hotel departments.
  • Provide financial insights that empower operational teams.
  • Oversee IT and Procurement functions and maintain a strong understanding of hotel operations.
  • Champion a culture that embraces change and continuous improvement.
Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership to drive cost efficiency, revenue growth, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with ownership groups and key stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and deliverables.
  • Bring a growth mindset and focus on long‑term value creation.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of progressive finance experience; hospitality or retail industry experience preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
