Boone County Bank is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Loan Officer to join our growing team. This individual will build and maintain customer relationships, evaluate loan requests, and provide exceptional service throughout the lending process. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping customers succeed financially, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and is eager to grow expertise across multiple lending areas.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the community
- Interview applicants and evaluate financial information to determine lending needs
- Originate, process, and manage loans in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Educate customers on loan products and financial solutions
- Collaborate with other bank team members to deliver excellent customer service
- Participate in business development and community involvement activities
- Maintain knowledge of lending regulations, underwriting standards, and market conditions
- Support customers with a variety of lending needs, including:
- Agricultural loans
- Commercial loans
- Consumer loans
- Real estate and mortgage loans
- Previous lending, banking, finance, or sales experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships
- Detail-oriented with sound decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of credit analysis and underwriting principles is a plus
- Commitment to community involvement and customer service
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, or related field preferred, but not required
