* Job Description:
** - Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a small rural hospital lab? - This is a unique 7 on 7 off position, providing the opportunity to showcase your skills during 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, working with a dynamic team.

* Key Responsibilities:
** - Perform laboratory testing to assist in the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases.
- Accession and order tests in the Laboratory Information System (LIS); process specimens and refer to reference laboratories.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment for accurate results.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure seamless lab operations.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory documentation; develop and uphold laboratory policies and procedures.
- Follow strict sterilization and infection control protocols due to regular exposure to infectious specimens.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills while performing routine phlebotomy.
- Adapt to varying priorities and respond effectively to codes and trauma situations.
** Qualifications/
Skills:
** - Medical Laboratory Technician:
Associate’s degree from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science, certified/registered by MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), or CLT(NCA).
- Medical Technologist:
Bachelor’s degree from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science, certified/registered by MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), or CLS(NCA).
- Preferred minimum of one year of experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices and infection control requirements.
- Familiarity with government standards and healthcare policies.

* Physical Requirements:
** - Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs., with the ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
- Proficient in operating a computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment.
** Cognitive Requirements:** - Strong skills in reading, writing, calculation, and analysis.
- Excellent social interaction skills and ability to reason effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multitask, and adjust priorities as needed.
** Language Requirements:** - Must fluently read, write, and speak English.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
