Shift:
Night Shift – 5x8-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM);
Flexible scheduling available for 40 hours/week
Job Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing in a hospital clinical laboratory setting Conduct blood bank procedures including AHG cross match, transfusion reaction workups, and patient identification processes Perform chemistry testing including arterial blood gases (ABG), cardiac enzymes, hormone/thyroid testing, and therapeutic drug monitoring Complete hematology and coagulation testing including CBC manual, manual differentials, fibrin split products (FDP), and platelet counts Perform immunology/serology testing including body fluids, pregnancy testing (urine and blood), and rapid test kits with knowledge of controls Conduct urinalysis including microscopic UA Handle specimen processing including pipetting, specimen collection, receipt, transport, and reporting of results Perform venipuncture as needed Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards Accurately document results using facility charting systems (any system required;
Tru/Bridge/Evident preferred) Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure timely and accurate patient results
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience ASCP certification (preferred) Valid state license (pending license accepted at submission; must be in hand prior to start if required by state) Experience in hospital clinical laboratory setting Experience in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, and urinalysis Venipuncture competency Preferred
Skills:
Charting experience with Tru/Bridge/Evident Strong knowledge of laboratory quality assurance and controls Ability to work independently on night shift
