Implementation of effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site
Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives
Compile all safety record and reports, and ensure proper documentation of site records for all safety related matters
Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises
Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits
Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and execution of safety programmes
Inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance are in proper working condition and do not pose any hazard
Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time
RequirementsSafety related diploma or degree
Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for at least 3 years. Candidates with ECO & ECMO license will have an added advantage.
Mandatory to have least 3 – 5 years’ experience as WSHO in the construction industry.
Experienced in ISO related documentation and audits
Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
