SUMMARY
SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and education to individuals of all ages to help them achieve their highest level of functional independence. This role involves working closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure care is culturally respectful and tailored to the needs of the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform skilled evaluations to assess functional abilities related to activities of daily living, work, and community participation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving physical, cognitive, and psychosocial function.
- Provide interventions for a variety of conditions including post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological disorders, and chronic health conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other allied health professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and culturally respectful documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in community health initiatives, prevention programs, and wellness education as needed.
- Respect and incorporate traditional practices and cultural values into treatment when appropriate and requested by patients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Prior experience working in rural or underserved communities preferred.
- Adult care and nursing home experience is a plus.
- Current License to practice Occupational Therapy.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a community-based setting.
