About the Role

Work may be performed by either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The role involves performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The position is an in‑person, part‑time position (Wednesday 9 am‑5 pm) located in Maxwell, NE.

• Review medical records electronically through the VA web portal.
• Perform a focused in‑person physical exam on each Veteran.
• Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
• Complete the VA questionnaire and form medical opinions in accordance with VA credentialing requirements.
• See 3‑5 Veterans per day; no treatment or prescribing.

• Interested in performing independent medical assessments.
• Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to stay on task.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Proficient computer skills.

• Current, unrestricted NP or PA license (NCCPA accredited).
• Meet VA credentialing requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to complete VA’s examination and documentation requirements.
