Job Description
This travel opportunity positions a skilled X-ray and CT technologist to support a busy imaging department in Gordon, Nebraska. The role involves performing digital plain films, X-rays, and CT scans, including CTA procedures for strokes and angioscans for operating rooms. The technologist will work in a single CT and X-ray room, handling an average of 15‑20 scans daily. Shifts are variable, typically 40 hours per week with four 10‑hour days, and include weekly on‑call duties, weekend call commitments, and occasional holidays.
A strong foundation in radiographic techniques, IV starts, and familiarity with EMR systems like AMBRA, EVIDENT, and MED Q are essential. The department features modern GE, Samsung, and Topaz equipment, with a supervisor and lead tech available for support. This role offers a dynamic environment where your technical expertise directly contributes to patient diagnoses, with the unique aspect of performing both X‑ray and CT procedures within the same shift, providing a rich array of imaging experiences.
