Emergency Room Nurse in Nebraska. This position involves working in a fast-paced ER setting with a focus on stabilizing and shipping critical patients. The role requires collaborating with mid-level providers and charge nurses, and providing patient care during night shifts every other weekend. Ideal candidates will have experience in similar hospital environments and hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

BLS certification; minimum of 1 year experience working in hospital emergency departments; valid license to submit; located within the United States - Preferred Qualifications:
ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred - Common diagnoses:
Urgent care (60-75%), strokes, myocardial infarctions, trauma cases such as motor vehicle collisions, stabilization, and transfer of critical patients - Responsibilities:
Monitor and care for ER patients, manage common drips like insulin and pain medications, assist with diagnostic procedures (ABGs, EKG), and collaborate with the trauma team as needed - Additional Information:
The ER operates with a team of 3 licensed staff members (2 RN and 1 LPN or RN), with available RT support during daytime hours and paramedics during all shifts. Monitoring is managed via Mindray monitors, with telemetry observed centrally. The unit includes separate trauma and clinic rooms, and orientation involves two 12-hour sessions plus a full day for business and IT resources.
