Bring your acute-care pharmacy experience to Ogallala, Nebraska! We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a 13‑week travel contract offering a consistent daytime schedule, 40 hours per week, and a $5,000 bonus for completing the assignment.
This role is ideal for a Nebraska‑licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy and chemotherapy‑compounding experience who is ready to contribute to a collaborative acute‑care environment.
Job Title:Acute Clinical Staff Pharmacist
Contract Dates:September 21, 2026 – December 19, 2026
Schedule:40 hours per week
Shift:8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Assignment Bonus:$5,000 for completing the 13‑week assignment, subject to applicable terms and eligibility requirements.
Responsibilities:- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, allergies, and proper dosing.
- Provide clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare, compound, and verify chemotherapy medications using established safety standards.
- Monitor medication therapies and recommend appropriate clinical interventions.
- Support safe and effective medication use for acute‑care patients.
- Provide drug information and medication‑related education to patients and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and required documentation.
- Follow sterile‑compounding, infection‑control, and hazardous‑drug handling procedures.
- Comply with all state, federal, and facility pharmacy regulations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes.
- Active and unrestricted Nebraska Pharmacist license.
- Recent acute‑care or hospital pharmacy experience.
- Hands‑on chemotherapy‑compounding experience.
- Strong knowledge of medication safety and clinical pharmacy practices.
- Familiarity with hazardous‑drug handling and sterile‑compounding procedures.
- Ability to work the scheduled daytime hours for the full contract.
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision‑making skills.
- Must meet all facility credentialing and compliance requirements.
- Bonus for completing the 13‑week assignment.
