Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
CompensationCertified: Starting at $22.49 per hour (based on experience)
Non-Certified: Starting at $21.00 per hour (based on obtaining certification)

Join Our Team - Pharmacy Technician
Location: Cherry County Hospital & Clinic - Valentine, NE 69201
Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. This position works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support safe, accurate, and efficient medication services in our rural hospital setting.
Position Highlights- Enter and process medication orders in the computer system (pharmacist-verified)
- Prepare and distribute daily medication fills and restock automated dispensing systems
- Mix IV additive solutions and chemotherapy under pharmacist supervision
- Package and label medications for pharmacist verification
- Maintain medication inventory, outdates, and pharmacy supply restocking
- Perform medication reconciliation and assist with patient charge auditing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
- Support compliance with safety, regulatory, and hospital policies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pharmacy Technician training completed or certification obtained within 6 months of hire
- Hospital or pharmacy experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and computer skills
- Commitment to confidentiality, safety, and regulatory compliance

Minimum
Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Completed pharmacy technician training per regulation, or certification obtained within 6 months of hire
- Previous hospital/pharmacy experience preferred but not required
- Must not have ever been convicted of any drug-related misdemeanor or felony
