Position Overview
Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee and support daily housekeeping operations. Manage department personnel, plan and schedule work activities. Lead the housekeeping team to ensure the highest standards of service, sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics throughout the property. Create and maintain a clean and welcoming environment in all guest rooms, cabins, clubhouse and employee common areas. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys cleaning, leading by example, and taking pride in guest-ready spaces.
Primary Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties (Primary Focus – Peak Season)
- Manage the personnel within the Housekeeping department. This will include onboarding, training, scheduling, timesheets, performance evaluations and discipline.
- Provide appropriate leadership and guidance.
- Develop departmental operating procedures and quality standards.
- Assign daily tasks based on occupancy, arrivals, and departures.
- Lead, support, and assist the housekeeping team with daily cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work with hospitality software.
- Perform hands-on cleaning of cabins, club rooms, common spaces, and turnover areas.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all rooms meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities. Re-order inventory as needed.
- Ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to hygiene protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests and members.
- Achieve quality standards with minimum labor costs.
- Identify and report maintenance issues such as HVAC irregularities, leaks, lighting problems, or damaged items.
- Collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure rooms are not only clean but also functional and guest-ready.
- Takes care of special requests and needs for members and guests
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred, leadership experience a plus.
- Have a positive attitude and a professional manner in all situations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong asset for this role.
- Basic understanding of simple maintenance tasks or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on role.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Must have valid Form I-9 documentation to work.
