Job Responsibilities
Assist the Hotel Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the Front Office and ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations.
Supervise, guide and support the Front Office team to maintain high standards of guest service.
Provide courteous and efficient service and make every reasonable effort to accommodate guests’ requests.
Perform regular Front Desk operational duties when rostered
, including guest check-in, check-out, room assignments, billing and other Front Desk responsibilities.Be familiar with hotel room rates, promotions and room availability, and actively promote room upgrades and upselling opportunities whenever appropriate.
Ensure all Front Office employees maintain professional grooming, appearance and service standards at all times.
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and effectively, ensuring appropriate follow-up and communication with Management.
Ensure compliance with guest room security, emergency and fire safety procedures, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
Be familiar with hotel facilities and services, as well as major local attractions and events, and provide accurate information to guests when required.
Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with all hotel departments.
Assist with staff training, daily operational coordination and manpower arrangements when required.
Ensure proper shift handovers and completion of Front Office reports and operational tasks.
Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualification.
Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management will be an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Manager, Team Leader, Supervisor, or equivalent role in Front Office / Guest Relations within a hotel environment.
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (PR) only.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin
, with strong verbal communication skills in both languages.Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to guide and support the Front Office team.
Well-developed communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills.
Excellent customer service and proven problem-solving skills.
Professional, mature, meticulous, resourceful and well-organized.
Good planning and execution skills with strong attention to detail.
Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Able to handle guest complaints and challenging situations professionally and tactfully.
Must be flexible and willing to perform both managerial/supervisory duties and regular Front Desk operational duties
, depending on the assigned roster.Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends and Public Holidays according to operational requirements.
5-day work week
Up to 44 working hours per week
Roster-based working schedule
The position follows a mixed roster consisting of Assistant Manager / supervisory shifts and regular Front Desk operational shifts
Shift timings will vary according to the duty roster and hotel operational requirements
Weekend and Public Holiday work is required when rostered
