Business Office & Human Resources Director

Our 80-bed skilled nursing facility is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office & Human Resources Director to oversee the daily operations of both the Human Resources Department and Resident Accounts. This key leadership role supports employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and resident financial services while helping ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and staff.

Human Resources Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and new employee orientation.
  • Manage employee relations and assist with performance and disciplinary matters.
  • Administer employee benefits and support benefits enrollment processes.
  • Coordinate payroll and maintain employee records.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and leave of absence programs.
  • Support employee retention and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate staff development and training programs.
Resident Accounts Responsibilities
  • Verify resident payor sources and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist residents and families with Medicaid, Medicare, VA, and other government payor programs.
  • Maintain resident billing information to ensure accurate month-end billing.
  • Manage resident trust accounts in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
  • Maintain resident financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to residents and families regarding coverage and payment options.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in human resources, business office management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
