The Information Technology (IT) department of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is responsible for the provision, operation, and conceptual and technological development of all information systems of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and its subsidiaries. The IT is continuously striving to further develop the business processes of HEIDELBERG through the use of modern technologies and to provide them as efficiently as possible with a high standard of excellence.
In this context, the IT wants to further increase its management capability and process maturity. A central component of these strategic considerations is the bundling of all IT activities for contract initiation, processing, and management in a team "IT Contracts & Commercial Provider Management". Together with the "Service Performance & Technical Provider Management" team, the essential task is to manage the IT supplier portfolio in a comprehensive way, orchestrate contracts and contract services commercially and technically, align them on business value, and manage the supplier relationship as a whole.
HEIDELBERG is therefore looking for an IT Supplier & Sourcing Manager at the earliest possible date at the location of Wiesloch, who will actively shape and drive the future of HEIDELBERG IT in a dynamic environment.
Your tasks
- Collaboration in the definition and development of a holistic provider governance methodology at strategic, tactical, and operational levels, which aligns provider performance with business value and actively manages supplier relationships
- Independently conducting and advising colleagues on all IT activities related to contract initiation, processing, and management during the contract term, in particular:
- Collaboration in the definition and implementation of a holistic procurement strategy for IT services (e.g., global vs. local)
- Identification and assessment of suitable IT service providers for each IT sector, taking into account economies of scale and efficiencies
- Coordination and management of all IT tenders, including the design of RFP templates, preparation of RFP documents, definition of governance during the RFP process, criteria for the award decision, negotiation, provider communication
- Creation of transparency regarding all provider contracts, data, costs, sectors, service level agreements, etc.
- Continuous review of agreed performance metrics and development, monitoring, and implementation of measures to enforce agreed performance (e.g., escalation, penalization, exit, etc.)
- Quality assurance of order requests within the approval process
- Conducting or orchestrating license measurements. Checking license allocation or the allocation process, ensuring fit between license allocation and contractual license model
- Ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations of IT vis-à-vis its suppliers
- These activities are carried out in close cooperation with colleagues from other IT teams as well as with the purchasing, legal, and business areas. You will also contribute your expertise to strategic projects.
Our requirements
- Successfully completed degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or Industrial Engineering or a comparable course of study
- Relevant professional experience in provider management/contract management, preferably in an industrial company of medium size
- Conceptual thinking, structured approach with a high degree of flexibility
- Willingness and ability to continuously question complex issues proactively and critically, to describe them methodically, clearly, to develop, elaborate, and implement improvement proposals
- Independent, careful, and self-reliant working method
- Team and cooperation skills, communication skills, and persuasiveness as well as stress resistance and resilience
- Competence and experience in MS Office applications
- Eagerness for personal development
- Very good German and fluent English skills
