The Information Technology (IT) department of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is responsible for the provision, operation, and conceptual and technological development of all information systems of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and its subsidiaries. The IT is continuously striving to further develop the business processes of HEIDELBERG through the use of modern technologies, and to provide them as efficiently as possible with a high level of excellence.

HEIDELBERG has decided to enter into a strategic partnership with the company Vincorion, thereby entering the market segment "Defence". Against this background, expanded requirements must also be met for the IT, in particular, but not exclusively, with regard to regulatory requirements, especially in the area of security.

HEIDELBERG is therefore looking for a Senior Consultant IT for Defence at the earliest possible date at the location of Wiesloch, who will structure the requirement, coordinate it with the involved specialist and IT departments, and ensure its implementation in highly dynamic environments.

Your tasks

• Structured and holistic capture, evaluation and prioritization of the business requirements for the Defence segment from an IT perspective, taking into account relevant standards and regulations (e.g. NATO STANAGs, BSI-Grundschutz)
• Alignment of the requirements with the existing IT landscape and creation of a roadmap, a strategic enterprise and IT architecture target picture as well as a migration or measures plan depicting the requirements
• Conception of security-critical IT systems and technical architectures as well as consultation on IT security structures and architectures in the context of classified environments
• Preparation and elaboration of targeted management documents for discussion and decision-making including a stringent and target group-appropriate presentation of the options, their evaluation, consequences and next steps
• Management of IT (sub-)projects in the Defence area
• Active and solution-oriented consultation of HEIDELBERG IT and departments regarding requirements for Defence and their implementation

Our requirements

• Successfully completed studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of (Economic) Informatics or
  -Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a comparable course of study
• More than 5 years of relevant professional experience as an IT consultant or architect in the Defence, Armament or Public Security environment as well as knowledge of suitable frameworks and standards (e.g. NATO STANAGs, BSI-Grundschutz)
• Experience in handling classified information and security checks and the resulting requirements for IT systems, IT architectures and business processes
• Understanding of IT architectures as well as network and cyber security technologies
• Strategic and conceptual thinking, structured approach with a high degree of flexibility
• Willingness and ability to continuously question complex issues proactively and critically, to describe them methodically in a clear and structured manner, to develop, elaborate and implement implementation proposals in a targeted manner
• Independent, careful and self-responsible working method
• Team and cooperation skills, communication skills and persuasiveness as well as stress resistance and resilience
• Very good German and secure English skills
• Integrity and the fundamental willingness to undergo regular personal checks if necessary
