The purchasing department is responsible for the global procurement of information systems for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and its subsidiaries. Together with the information technology department, sourcing activities are coordinated for contract initiation and jointly evaluated in the market, and tenders and negotiations are conducted.

In the scope of your role in purchasing, your key responsibilities include managing the supplier portfolio across departments, orchestrating complex tenders and contracts, and commercially managing contract services in collaboration with cross-functional areas.

HEIDELBERG is therefore looking for a strategic IT buyer to actively shape and drive the purchasing department of HEIDELBERG in a dynamic environment.

The position is initially limited to two years.

Your tasks:

• Coordination and management of complex IT tenders, including the creation of RfP templates and preparation of RfP documents in coordination with IT, legal, and other business partners
• Negotiation and design of complex contractual agreements with associated documentation, involving departments such as legal, information security, and data protection
• Supplier responsibility across locations as part of the lead buyer function
• Supplier selection, development, and management of new and existing supplier relationships as part of supplier management
• Independently conducting price negotiations

Our requirements:

• You ideally hold a degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field with business-related knowledge.
• Relevant professional experience in a similar position, preferably in a medium-sized industrial company
• Conceptual thinking, structured approach with a high degree of flexibility
• Willingness and ability to continuously question complex issues proactively and critically, describe them methodically, and develop, elaborate, and implement improvement suggestions
• You understand how to strategically process and implement content in your field of activity
• You can drive complex tasks forward in a goal-oriented and analytical manner
• You are familiar with relevant purchasing methods and tools
• You have strong English negotiation skills and are proficient in common IT applications
