A local educational institution in Nebraska seeks a Specialist Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard of hearing students by facilitating effective communication. The SLI will interpret classroom instructions, assist with orientation regarding deafness and sign language, and provide tutoring when necessary. Candidates should possess an Associate’s degree in Sign Language Interpreting and demonstrate proficiency in American Sign Language.
Experience as an SLI is preferred but not mandatory. The position may require work during evenings or weekends.
