Jurist in Charge of Police Files Activity

The legal division is responsible for declaring the judicial police files concerning applications where the DNPJ is the application director and for answering queries from various services in the field of file law. You are a lawyer with a strong interest in the digital domain and you want to participate in the declaration of judicial police files. You enjoy working within a dynamic team.

Join us as a lawyer in charge of police files activity. You will essentially be in charge of:

• Writing various documents contributing to the legal declaration of applications developed and managed by the DNPJ (register sheet, decision aid sheet, data protection impact analysis, usage doctrine etc)
• Updating the legal declarations of police applications in line with legislative and regulatory developments
• Working with all actors engaged in the digital domain within the DNPJ in connection with the operational needs expressed by the central and territorial investigation services
• Answering the occasional queries of digital actors of the DNPJ, including users of treatments, in the field of file law
• Maintaining a constant dialogue with the general directorate of the national police (legal division), the directorate of public freedoms and legal affairs (bureau of individual liberties) and the national commission for computerization and liberties (CNIL)

Your professional environment:

The National Directorate of Judicial Police oversees the missions of judicial police throughout the territory and contributes to the prevention and repression of all forms of crime and delinquency. It participates in counter-terrorism and animates the judicial branch as a whole. It relies on central and territorial services responsible for dealing with the most complex and serious forms of crime. The service The legal division is composed of two sections and the team for the exploitation of old documentary funds (local branch located in Le Chesnay).

The legal analysis section is responsible for declaring the many and varied files of the judicial police concerning the applications where the DNPJ is the application director and for answering queries from various services in the field of file law. The section for the processing of access rights is responsible for examining requests for access, rectification and erasure of personal information contained in police files where the DNPJ is the application director.

It also answers requests for traceability of the use of these same files.

Composition and staffing of the service Chief of division: 1 police commissioner - Deputy chief of division: 1 functional division commander. The section is composed of 2 police officers, 1 chief sergeant, three attachés and one level A contractor.
