Administrative And Financial Manager
The administrative and financial manager is a member of the management team of the Institut des Nanotechnologies de Lyon. Under the authority of the laboratory director, they organize and lead the implementation of the laboratory's strategic orientations, pilot important and complex projects, and coordinate the administrative and financial organization of the entire unit.
Activities include:
- Managing and coordinating the administrative and financial team
- Organizing, planning, and coordinating the service's activities in line with the unit's objectives.
- Supervising and supporting staff in their duties and skills development.
- Leading service meetings, conducting annual reviews, and ensuring service continuity.
- Supporting the evolution of practices and organizations to improve service efficiency. - Leading the financial management and procurement of the unit
- Developing the unit's budget and ensuring its monitoring, analysis, and control.
- Producing necessary financial indicators for management and proposing appropriate arbitrations.
- Managing the equipment plan and coordinating procurement procedures in compliance with regulations.
- Supervising the administrative and financial management of research contracts and agreements. - Contributing to the administrative and organizational management of the unit
- Participating in defining and implementing the unit's strategic orientations.
- Leading actions to improve administrative processes and the quality approach.
- Ensuring the application of regulations, coordinating the update of organizational charts, and implementing the internal regulations.
- Coordinating the organization of governance bodies (laboratory councils, general assemblies) and presenting activity reports. - Supporting the strategic development of the unit
- Conducting regulatory, institutional, and funding opportunity monitoring.
- Advising the management on administrative, financial, and organizational aspects of key projects.
- Contributing to relations with authorities and partners and promoting the unit's activities.
In-depth knowledge of:
- Organization and functioning of higher education, research, and innovation.
- Legal, administrative, and financial regulations applicable to public higher education and research institutions.
- Research funding mechanisms (regional, national, European, and international).
