Job Title: Machine Operator – B Shift (Day)
Type: Contract (12 months)
Summary
The Machine Operator will perform operations to maintain product quality and production levels in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, inspecting products, packaging, handling raw materials/finished goods, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment and process functions.
- Monitor machine functions and identify any out-of-control conditions.
- Conduct inspections and perform process tests.
- Produce, visually inspect, and package products.
- Maintain equipment as per preventive maintenance schedules.
- Clean machines and work areas regularly.
- Respond to and reset alarms as required.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with team members to sustain productivity.
- Maintain certifications on assigned equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Leader.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
Experience:
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
