• Operate a welder and cut and braze metal pieces using flame‑cutting and hand welding equipment.
• Interpret blueprints or plans for finished products.
• Fit up and tack weld weldments.
• Create jigs or fixtures for higher quantity orders.
• Check dimensions of assemblies or parts, overall quality, appearance, and soundness of welds.
• Maintain quality of the projects overseen.
• Utilize TIG, MIG, Stick, flux core, steel, stainless, and aluminum welding techniques.
• Maintain premises and equipment to the highest possible standards to preserve a professional image.
• Ensure all PPE, safety, and company rules are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of machines/tools used in welding (design, use, maintenance, and repair).
• Basic understanding of design techniques (plans, drawings, models, and blueprints).
• Excellent ability to read and comprehend assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
