Job Title: Laser Operator
Location: Holdrege, NE
Pay: 1st
Shift: $17.50/hour & 2nd
Shift: $21.50/hour (Pay increase upon hire-on)
Shifts Available: 1st
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:45 PM & 2nd
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:45 PM - 3:30 AM
Overtime: Fridays as needed
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are hiring a detail-oriented Laser Operator to support production by operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality metal components while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Note:
Candidates may train on 1st shift for 2 weeks to 1 month before moving to 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and technical drawings
- Load raw materials and unload finished parts
- Adjust machine settings for optimal cutting performance
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Use hand and air tools as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 10-hour shifts
- Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Steel-toe boots required
- Manufacturing/production setting
