Job Title: Welder
Location: Holdrege, NE
Pay: $18.50/hour
Shift: 1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Overtime: Fridays as needed
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are hiring a skilled Welder to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This role involves working with mild steel assemblies, performing precise welds and maintaining high-quality production standards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady hours, overtime potential and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations on mild steel assemblies with complex setups and fixtures
- Set welding machine voltage and wire speed according to specifications
- Produce high-quality welds while maintaining close tolerances
- Operate robotic gas welding equipment as needed
- Inspect welds for defects such as incomplete welds, spatter and rough finishes
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Basic reading, writing and math skills required
- Blueprint reading experience preferred
- Previous welding experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hour shifts
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Manufacturing setting with focus on safety, precision and consistency
- Steel-toe boots required
- Steady 4-day work week with overtime opportunities
- Temp-to-hire position with long-term potential
- Hands-on work in a skilled trade
