Description

Prepare purchase orders for all materials needed for clients and jobs, maintain and monitor inventory, purchasing, maintain relationships with vendors, and work with yard crew.

Perform purchasing and inventory management tasks to ensure timely delivery of materials for jobs, coordinate with yard crew and vendors.

• Inventory control – Handle damaged or incorrect shipments.
• Job order processor – using Astro’s inventory software, order and track materials for jobs to ensure the arrival of materials prior to job delivery by following the weekly production schedules. Will be go‑to person for crews if materials are needed to complete job and fill out appropriate forms for additional materials and or crew orders.
• Purchasing agent – checking available suppliers for a quality product at the best available price.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the controller.
• Complies with Astro policies and procedures.

• Any combination of job-related experience and/or training which would produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Previous computer, typing and data entry experience required.
• Astro provides on-the-job training.

• Ability to perform tasks accurately, effectively and in a timely manner.
• Must be able to multitask, possess good communication skills.
• Must be detail‑oriented and have the ability to work under time constraints.
• Ability to interface with customers, subcontract crews and company personnel.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Ability to safely perform major job responsibilities with reasonable accommodations.

• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Lifting anything >100 lbs requires additional personnel and utilizing a dolly or forklift if possible.

$22 - $27 per hour; based on experience.
