Overview

Starting Wages from $21.00 to $24.00 per hour

We are seeking a Production Technician to join our team at our Rushville, Indiana production facility. The Rushville location runs various production schedules during peak season months (September through March).

This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Up to three (3) shifts per week, between 8- to 10-hour shifts
  • 5-6 days per week, with 1-2 days off, rotating shifts
  • Premium Shift Bonus Provided

During off-peak months (April through August), the site operates an 8-hour day shift with occasional overtime when needed. This provides a better work-life balance compared to other manufacturing roles.

What You Will Do
  • Model safety as the number one focus
  • Be a safety steward of a designated program
  • Seed corn harvest activities including receiving, husk/sort, drying, shelling, and bulk operations
  • Process activities such as color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, packaging, and palletizing
  • Use of automation and computerized systems (PLC, computers, iPads)
  • Return and rework activities
  • Monitor product quality and ensure activities meet the requirements of the quality plan
  • Warehousing activities including forklift operation, quality sampling, picking and pooling
  • Data collection for continuous improvement projects driven from Bottoms Up Planning
  • Facility and equipment maintenance task assignments
  • Various other duties as assigned by supervisor
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED, or willingness to obtain GED within twelve (12) months of hire as a condition of employment

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external customers
  • Desire to grow skills and career within the company
  • Solutions-focused; able to identify problems and find fixes
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Willing and able to perform activities with or without reasonable accommodation: climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in various conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motion
  • Comfortable with technology and computer aptitude (Microsoft Office); willing to learn company-specific applications
  • Commitment to health and safety standards to ensure colleagues go home safely each day
  • Able to work rotating shifts and overtime hours, including nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Two-year technical or associate degree
  • One year of education or experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or related industry
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles (5S, Continuous Improvement, Standardized Work)
  • General knowledge of field or agriculture equipment (plows, tractors, forklift, etc.)
