- Rendering in our Gibbon, NE plant.

As Production General
- Rendering you:

• Help in maintaining daily records; report unsafe conditions; record plant operational data as needed
• Complete inspection of equipment to determine if sanitation is adequate to begin the rendering process
• Assemble rendering equipment including expellers, shredders, pumps, pipes, blades, and cooking tanks
• Test equipment to determine proper functioning.
• Open valves and start pumps and conveyors to move materials through the rendering process
• Monitor temperature gauges and flow rate and condition of materials passing through cookers, expellers, and mills; adjust valves and flow rate
• Pour guts, bones, tissues, and other non-edible parts into a conduit that leads to storage containers for cooking tanks for processing non-edible products
• Label storage containers as "Not for Consumption"
• Notify leadership if equipment malfunctions

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of warm, hot, humid, cold, wet, or slippery surface temperatures at varied heights within and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work extended hours from Monday to Saturday, with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to perform the duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully completed training:
  • Safety.
  • Safe Food Quality (SQF).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Food Defense.
