General Laborer
Join our team at Tyson Foods as a general laborer. These positions involve basic to intermediate skill knife work, such as trimming and removing bones from meat products. This position could work in any department of this pork processing facility.
Physical Requirements:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be willing and able to stand, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are involved in all areas continuously. Lifting is involved in many areas up to 65lbs. May involve climbing stairs/ladders. These positions work in a cold, damp or hot, humid environment.
Will have an option and must be willing and able to work in one of the following environments based on availability:
- Harvest: Includes processing offal products. Environment is wet, humid, and hot. Temperatures are seasonal and can be greater than 90 degrees. Lifting requirement varies from 0-65 lbs.
- Cut/Converting: Includes further processing of fresh pork products. Environment is cold and damp. Temperature ranges from 35 to 45 degrees. Lifting requirement varies from 0-65 lbs.
- Loadout: (Madison Distribution Center) Job duties include but are not limited to reading order sheets, locating and retrieving boxes from a two-story rack system, and placing them on a conveyor, with boxes ranging from 9 to 100 lbs or stacks these boxes onto pallets and or arranging them directly in trucks, ensuring proper box orientation and label visibility, with tasks varying based on the order type.
Environment is dry and cold. Temperature ranges from 25 to 45 degrees. Lifting requirement varies from 9-100 lbs.
Must be able and willing to work 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.
