What You Will Do
  • Learn how to set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work.
  • Learn how to adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and change tooling and cutters per machining.
  • Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Understand and follow quality testing techniques; inspect products using precision gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Documentation and Labor Transactions.
  • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as directed by leadership.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement processes and safety-related activities.
  • Work extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
  • Occasional holiday hours may be required based on business needs.
  • The schedule for this position is 2nd shift Monday through Friday 3:30 pm – 12:00 am; training occurs first 2–3 months Monday through Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Demonstrated ability to execute specific goals and plans, prioritize, organize, and accomplish daily tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Experience training, mentoring, and improving peers’ knowledge and skills, respected by peers for hard work and ethics.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • General awareness of production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and processes.
  • Technical expertise in manufacturing machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance in at least one discipline.
  • Experience working on multiple complex programs in a primary discipline and capable of handling several moderate programs in primary or additional disciplines.
  • Effective communication skills at all employee and management levels.
