Monday through Friday - Shift Time: 10:00 PM until 6:30 AM

Pay Ranges:Entry through 4 years of Employment = $23.70
5 years through 9 years of Employment = $23.95
10 years through 14 years of Employment = $24.20
15 years through 19 years of Employment = $24.45
20 plus years of Employment = $24.70
PRIMARY FUNCTION:Primarily responsible for manually transporting product, pallets, cages, etc. as needed for shipping, processing required paperwork and conducting Cooler inventory. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:- Under minimal supervision, transport product using hand carts, pallet jacks, etc; following all safety protocols
- Ensure all product is labeled, stacked and wrapped correctly for shipping
- Scan and track pallets from production to cooler
- Correctly verify and process required paperwork, (i.e. Bill of Lading, receivers to purchasing, truck log and sheet, and Production sheets for next shift)
- Verify Cooler inventory/count, record correctly
- Direct the work of others and is a "go-to" for questions and concerns in relation to task performance in the absence of supervisor or superintendent at their direction
- Train lower level associates as needed
- Perform all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
CERTIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 1 year experience in shipping
- Demonstrated Leadership abilities
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
- Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2 and moving production lines/equipment
- Exposure to wet and dusty environment
- May roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs.)
- Will work around live animals, odors
