Role
Holt Community Centre are looking for a volunteer to cook lunch for around 80/90 people on a Thursday. Role includes meal planning. Volunteers assist with preparation, washing up, serving etc. The community cafe is very popular with local residents. Most who attend are elderly and the cafe provides a valuable and much needed opportunity to socialise.
Time commitmentThe cafe runs from 11am until 2pm. Most volunteers arrive at the centre at around 8.30am. An estimated 1-2 hours is required for meal planning.
About the organisationEstablished in 1975 through the dedicated efforts of the community, Holt Community Centre stands as a vibrant hub for the people of Holt and the surrounding villages. It offers a diverse range of activities and events, as well as providing versatile spaces for hire. The centre is dedicated to supporting the people of Holt.
