We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week travel assignment in Boys Town, NE. This is an acute psychiatric setting with a focus on behavioral health stabilization and crisis intervention.

Start Date:

March 9, 2026 (ASAP consideration)
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Schedule:

4x10 Hour Night Shifts
Shift Time: 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM

Hours:

40 hours per week
Weekend Rotation:
Required

This opportunity may convert to a permanent position, as the facility is hiring to backfill a long‑term need.

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care in an acute setting
• Assess and monitor patients with mental health disorders
• Manage behavioral crises and implement de‑escalation strategies
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on treatment planning
• Safely assist with patient restraint and crisis interventions as required
• Document patient care and progress in EPIC

The facility will provide training on proper management of agitated or escalated patients and restraint techniques.

• Active RN license (willing to wait on licensure if needed)
• BLS certification
• Acute psychiatric nursing experience required
• Experience working on a locked behavioral health unit preferred
• Experience with young adult populations preferred (not required if strong psych background)
• Strong behavioral assessment and crisis management skills

New graduates will not be considered.

• 40 hours guaranteed per week when working 8- or 10-hour shifts
• Weekend rotation required
• EPIC charting system
• 26-week contract with potential temp-to-perm opportunity
• All hours billable
• Overtime applies after 40 hours per week

Acute psych RN role in a locked behavioral health setting. Must have strong crisis intervention and de‑escalation skills. Young adult experience preferred but not required if candidate has solid locked‑unit background. Facility provides training on restraint management. 26‑week contract with potential for permanent placement.
