- Provide high-quality obstetric and neonatal nursing care during labor and delivery.
- Monitor and interpret FHR, contractions, and maternal vitals to ensure safety.
- Manage labor progress, assist with delivery, and provide postpartum care.
- Identify and escalate potential complications promptly to ensure rapid intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to evidence-based protocols and hospital policies to maintain quality standards.
- Document care accurately in electronic medical records and ensure data integrity.
- Educate patients and families on labor processes, pain management, and newborn care.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset by pursuing continuing education and credentialing.
- Track patient flow and contribute to unit-level pipeline forecasting and staffing needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment, complying with infection control standards.
- Active RN license with obstetric/gynecology or perinatal specialization.
- BSN preferred; 2+ years in labor and delivery or perinatal care.
- Continuous electronic fetal monitoring (CTG) interpretation and response.
- Labor progress management and assistance with vaginal/cesarean delivery as needed.
- Advanced life support certification (BLS required; ACLS preferred).
- Infection control compliance and safe, clean clinical environment.
- Accurate documentation in EMR and data integrity assurance.
- Strong teamwork with physicians, midwives, and care teams; collaborative approach.
- Postpartum and newborn care education for families.
- Commitment to ongoing education, certifications, and credentialing.
- On-site position based in Valentine, NE — work from our local office and be part of the community
