- Provide direct labor and delivery nursing care to obstetric patients on‑site.
- Monitor maternal‑fetal status and respond to obstetric emergencies promptly.
- Demonstrate continuous professional development through certifications and skills enhancement.
- Meet or exceed performance targets through efficient patient flow and pipeline management.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.
- Document labor progress and patient outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Utilize evidence‑based practices to improve patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, pain management, and postnatal care.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and provide after‑hours coverage as required.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a high‑performing, collaborative team culture.
- Active RN license in Nebraska with OB/L&D certification preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of labor & delivery nursing experience.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications; willing to maintain ongoing education.
- Proven ability to monitor maternal‑fetal status and respond to emergencies.
- Experience with electronic health records and accurate documentation.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.
- Demonstrated patient and family education skills on labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
- Ability to meet performance targets and manage patient flow efficiently.
- On‑call availability and after‑hours coverage as required.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a high‑performing, collaborative team culture.
