Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Registered Nurse for a dual-role contract covering Labor & Delivery (L&D), Obstetrics, and Medical-Surgical units. The ideal candidate will manage and deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients of all ages, with a core focus on maternal-child health and general acute care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialized OB/L&D Care: Assess, monitor, and deliver clinical care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients.
  • Med-Surg Care: Manage clinical workflows, administer medications using the Five Rights, and track patient conditions for a diverse adult acute-care patient population.
  • Care Planning: Utilize the nursing process to develop, implement, and dynamically evaluate individualized formal care plans.
  • Charge Capacity (If needed): Coordinate staff assignments based on patient acuity, coach clinical teams, and immediately lead emergency procedures during life‑threatening complications.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree (ADN), Bachelor’s Degree (BSN), or Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience: Verified prior experience working in Labor & Delivery.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Nebraska.
  • Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required for OB/Dept
