Shift: 12 Hours - Day Shifts.
Job Schedule:
PRN.

Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and utilize age‑ and population‑specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.
- Perform testing and evaluate data reflective of the resident's status, and provide the care needed.
- Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health‑care providers, and the public.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician.
- Apply knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self‑care program.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
- Currently hold an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or have multi‑state licensure privileges.
- Completed required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training of the department and facility.
- Completed a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or have at least 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility.
- Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota, graduate from a Board‑approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completed an IV therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
