MUST HAVE LABOR AND DELIVERY EXPERIENCE! The Registered Nurse manages, organizes and administers nursing care for patients of all ages under the supervision of the Physician. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Incumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Assigns licensed and non-licensed staff to care for patients according to patient needs and skill level of available staff.
- Coaches staff to develop and demonstrate appropriate problem solving behaviors and teaches methods to improve decision-making skills.
- Identifies opportunities to improve performance and leads and/or participates in performance improvement teams.
- Recognizes life threatening patient complications/situations and responds immediately by initiating and participating in emergency procedures.
- Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments and staff.

While performing the duties of this job, employees the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works with explosive, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The level of risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens is Classification (I), as outlined in the Hepatitis B Vaccine Program Policy.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
1. Bachelors degree (B.S.N.), Associates degree (A.D.N.) or Diploma from an accredited college of nursing.
COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the our client Nebraska.
2. Current BLS certification.
3. Current ACLS certification.
4. Current NRP certification (for RNs assigned to the Obstetrics Department)
Shift: 5:45p-6a, 2 out of 3 weekends, block scheduling available, 3 shift call off with no charge based on patient census
