12 Hours – Night Shifts (United States of America)

Generous shift differentials:
Monday – Thursday (6pm – 6am) + $1.25/hr;
Friday – Sunday (6pm – 6am) + $7.25/hr

Summary

The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards.
  • Provide care to residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Coordinate care, perform resident assessment, conduct resident education, and execute various nursing interventions.
  • Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within job descriptions, skill sets, resident care needs, and competence levels.
  • Provide assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns.
  • Operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including but not limited to CCNE, ACEN, and NLN CNEA.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
