Provides, prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care withother health care providers to meet holistic needs of patients in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Utilizes the nursing process, for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan intervene and evaluate patient care toachieve prioritized patient outcomes.
- Assists provider during clinic in accordance with RN scope of practice, collects and prepares specimens for lab tests, maintainsinstruments/equipment, preps patients for procedures.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provideservice/care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Secures and returns supplies, maintains room stock and practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination.
- Communicates effectively with team members while ensuring all documentation is maintained and accurate in each patient record.
Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance ofadministering medications, treatments, procedures according tophysician orders/nursing policy in a timely manner and maintains good time management, flexibility and positively adapts to healthcare demands. - Participate in activities to support quality patient care atall clinic locations and performs other duties as assigned.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:45am-5:00pm
Experience and SkillsEducation,
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Effective knowledge and familiarity with word processing,computer navigation, and e-mail
- A minimum of one to two years nursing experience preferred
- Prior rural clinic experience preferred
Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or multi state licensure in a nurse licensure compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
