Job Summary:
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Milford Meadows is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and team‑oriented ADON to join our leadership team. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing to support our nursing department, mentor staff, and ensure residents receive the highest quality of care in a welcoming and respectful environment. As an 80‑bed facility specializing in the care of individuals with mental health and behavioral health needs, we offer a unique opportunity for nurses who enjoy building meaningful relationships and using a wide range of clinical, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience in mental health or behavioral health is a plus, but a passion for caring for others and supporting staff is most important. In addition to assisting with the daily operations of the nursing department, responsibilities include helping oversee infection prevention efforts, risk management programs, staff education, regulatory compliance, and supporting the nursing team in meeting resident needs. - Assist with daily operations of the nursing department, mentoring staff and ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care.
- Help oversee infection prevention efforts, risk management programs, staff education, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the nursing team in meeting resident needs.
- Education:
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license. - Experience:
3 years of nursing experience in a long‑term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. - Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certifications required; certification in Gerontology or related fields preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of nursing care standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
