24.00 - Salary Range: $32.00 – $48.00 per hour
- Pay Information: $7,500 Sign‑On Bonus Available
- Department:
Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program – provides stipends $7,500–$75,000 per year for qualifying health‑care professionals who agree to a five‑year service commitment in rural communities.
- 6 pm – 6:30 am (night shift)
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Shift differentials available for night (6 pm – 6 am) and weekend shifts
The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age‑ and population‑specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
Responsibilities include caring for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment; coordinating care, resident assessment, resident education, and various other nursing interventions; and serving as charge nurse when required, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competence level. The RN provides assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN‑CNEA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
